The window fitter spent most of the night lying on his bed looking thoughtful, but spoke to Rodrigo and Charlie about his feelings.
Rodrigo pointed out that the group had chosen Marcus to be the main whistler in yesterday's task and the editor in the magazine challenge, but the window fitter remained downbeat.
"I want to be glad that people chose me, but at the same time I'm not, so I feel bad about that," he explained. "I should be happy but I'm not, so I'm unhappy about that. It goes down lots of layers."
He added: "I'm not really enjoying it here. I don't want to do anything, really."
Later, when Charlie asked Marcus how he was feeling, he admitted: "I'm a bit fed up, really."
"Are you just fed up with the whole thing?" Charlie inquired. "Do you just kind of think, 'Well, what's the point' now?"
The 35-year-old simply sighed: "Yeah."
