Bea's BB eviction brings in 2.4 million

Earlier, the latest highlights show brought in 2.43m (11.6%) for Channel 4 in the 9pm hour. On Channel 4+1, 120k (0.7%) watched the highlights show and 134k (1.7%) tuned in for the eviction.
BBC One won the 9pm hour with the first part of movie War of the Worlds, which put in 3.21m (15.4%). 2.99m (19.9%) returned for the concluding part after the news.
A rerun of Kingdom delivered 2.82m (13.5%) for ITV1 and on Five, NCIS logged 1.44m (6.9%). The third season of The Tudors opened to 2.28m (11.4%) on BBC Two between 9pm and 10.30pm, level with the 2.29m (11.3%) who watched the season two premiere on August 1, 2008.
Earlier, Traffic Cops picked up 2.53m (11.9%) for BBC One at 8.30pm and ITV1's Airline had 2.83m (13.8%) over 30 minutes from 8pm.
Channel 4's A Place in the Sun: Home Or USA? took 950k (4.6%) in the 8pm hour, outdoing the 776k (3.7%) for You're Nicked! on Five.
BBC Two's live coverage of World Championship Athletics averaged 2.66m (14.1%) over three hours from 6pm.
Overall, ITV1 was ahead in primetime with an average audience share of 20.1% to BBC One's 18.3%. BBC Two was third with 13.3%, followed by Channel 4 with 7.3% (+1: 0.8%) and Five with 5.9%.
Sky Sports 1's Premier League Preview drew the largest multichannel audience of the day, averaging 811k (4.9%) from 7pm.
Jack Dee Live At The Apollo performed well for Dave, pulling in 650k (3.6%) at 9.40pm.
