Davina: "It is a sad day for BB fans"

Host Davina McCall has responded to the news that Big Brother will be axed next year.

She told followers on Twitter that she was feeling down about the announcement but assured them that the series would return for one last year.

"Hello tweeters, feeling a bit blue," she said. "Next year is going to be mad! Nothing to lose!"

"I feel OK at the mo, thank you all so much for your lovely words… Yes it is a sad day for BB fans," she added.

"BB is happening next year and CBB as well. You haven't got rid of me yet!"

She added that this year's show has been one of her favourites "in a while" and that she will enjoy watching the show more than ever.

"I have a really amazing feeling watching BB now. Like I want to cherish every second and love it even more, if that's possible," she said.
