The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant told the Manchester Evening News that he had "really enjoyed" this series.
He admitted: "It wouldn't surprise me if it takes a couple of years' break and comes back."
"I'm not a believer in the old adage 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' because if you leave something, it becomes stagnant," Christian continued.
"However, I think some of the tweaks they made have taken it in the wrong direction. They seemed to do things to create press interest, thinking people would watch it if they read about it in the papers.
"But it doesn't work that way, you either like it or you don't."
Christian added that he "respects" the remaining housemates.
"They bare their souls to the world for twelve weeks," he pointed out. "I would go insane."
