Chatting in the Diary Room following her eviction, he explained that the 41-year-old had supported him in the house.
"I am going to miss her," he admitted. "She's been my rock in the house. But she's a very strong person and she can take whatever's thrown at her, so that's keeping me going as well, Big Brother."
David explained that he liked Lisa's "wittiness" and "quirkiness", adding: "She's someone who understands me. She cared enough to listen to me, so it's going to be sad when she's not there."
The recycled clothes sorter also explained that he was feeling "mixed emotions".
"It's been a very emotional night for me," he confessed. "Obviously I found out I'm in the final on Friday and when I found out Lisa was going I was very sad as well."
However, David declared that he didn't think he would win the show.
"Not in a million years," he continued. "I know I've got the chance to win but I don't think I'd win. It would mean the world to me, but I'm not going to sit here and say I'm confident because I'm not. I don't think I will win."
