McCall names favourite BB housemates

Davina McCall has revealed her seven all-time favourite Big Brother housemates.

The presenter, who has hosted every summer run of the Channel 4 reality show, claimed that series one runner-up Anna Nolan is her number one contestant.

"I liked Anna right from the start, because she was just the sort of person I knew I'd want as a friend - a really solid person. I had a lot of admiration for her, which grew throughout the show," she told the News Of The World.

McCall also praised Jade Goody, series five winner Nadia Almada and Pete Bennett, who she described as the "perfect BB contestant".

The 42-year-old rounded off her list with Big Brother 9 couple Bex Shiner and Luke Marsden and series 10 housemate Noirin Kelly. "They were all people who lifted the energy levels in the house," she said.

McCall also claimed that her favourite Big Brother moment is the showdown with 'nasty' Nick Bateman in series one. "It was the first toe-curling moment," she said. "You couldn't have scripted it. It was almost too painful to watch but completely compelling."

The final series of Big Brother on Channel 4 starts next month.
