Craig Phillips: 'I may make BB11 cameo'

The first Big Brother winner Craig Phillips has hinted that he may appear in the show's final run.

Phillips, who triumphed in the original series in 2000, claimed that he would not return as a full housemate, but suggested that he could make a "cameo" turn during the summer.

"I'm sure the final series will be very exciting. I know they have some very interesting things planned and I may even make an appearance," he told the Sunday Mercury. "But it'll probably just be a cameo, I've done my time in the house.

"Nothing has been confirmed as yet, but you never know what surprises they have planned. I really hope that it’s a good ending."

Speaking about the show's impact on contestants' lives, he added: "Big Brother turned out to be really good for me, but maybe not so much for others. A lot of the contestants from series five onwards didn't really get the fame that they wanted - and ended up going back to their day jobs.”

Big Brother 11 starts on Wednesday at 9pm on Channel 4.
