Rachael has defended her self-confidence and love of skimpy clothing while in the Big Brother house.

Leaving the compound to the sound of 'Crazy Right Now', the 23-year-old hair stylist and professional Beyoncé lookalike responded to questions from Davina and criticisms from the public regarding her apparent vanity and arrogance.

There was a mixed crowd reception as she left the house, but Rachael told Davina: "The reception was great. I was so scared that everyone would hate me."

After commenting that Rachael looked "fragile and vulnerable", Davina replayed the video from her house entrance, where she asserted that she would be the best-looking housemate. Rachael responded that it was what she believed then, but agreed that it probably damaged her chances in the house.

Discussing her comment, "No-one [in the house] fancies me, and I find it dead weird", Davina suggested that it was a problem because "you're used to being adored". Rachael agreed, and said that the one person that she did like "didn't want to know me".

Talking about John James, she continued: "I just really wanted him to change his opinion of me. When I entered the house he never really gave me the chance." Asked whether she thought John James secretly fancied her, she said no, adding: "Maybe it's just a personality clash, I don't know."

Davina questioned whether Rachael liked John James, or whether she was considering who in the house she could form a relationship with in order to secure magazine deals after leaving the series. Rachael denied any ulterior motive, but admitted she didn't know why she still liked him after he was "awful" to her.

When asked if John James may "have a point" about Rachael thinking highly of herself because of her looks, she responded: "I've got so many insecurities, I just try and put on a brave face and ignore it. I don't think it's bad to have your head held high."

Speaking about the possibility of appearing in Nuts and Zoo, she told Davina: "I personally don't think they'll want me in those magazines. I was just joking." After positive cheers from the crowd, she laughed: "But never say never."

In a new twist, viewers comments were read to Rachael, in which two said that she "thinks she's God's gift to men" and has "no mystique". Rachael was then challenged on air by caller Michelle, who asked why she thought it was necessary to walk around in skimpy clothing all the time. When asked by Davina why she found it offensive, Michelle answered: "My grandchildren watch it."

Rachael said that she always wore skimpy clothing, denying it was anything to do with being on Big Brother. She replied to a chorus of cheers from the audience: "You look in all these magazines, they're all size zero models... I'm proud of my body."

After Davina revealed that Corin was responsible for returning her suitcase, a visibly touched Rachael said how "lovely" Corin is. She was then given the option of choosing one housemate "to have a day of dreams or day of hell tomorrow", to which she answered she would like to give Corin a day of dreams.

Recorded messages from the housemates revealed that Corin would miss having someone around "who didn't wash their hair like I don't", and that Ben would be "really sad" when she was gone. John James sent a consolatory message in which he apologised for his behaviour, saying: "If I could have changed it I would have handled things in a different way. I hope you enjoyed your time in the house and I didn't make things too difficult for you."
