Due to a power cut in the house earlier in the evening, the housemates were confined to the seating area for longer than usual. As the group sat quietly, people started to comment on the 24-year-old medical student's departure.
David told the group: "I'm really going to miss Sunshine." Ife commented: "I wonder if they showed what happened the other night [with John James]? If they showed it from beginning to end, that might be why she left." Caoimhe quietly added: "No more vegan face." All of the housemates agreed that Sunshine's departure would make shopping and meal times a lot easier.
Corin said: "She'll be alright, Sunshine. She'll get to see her dogs and her friends." She added that although she would miss their bedtime chats, she was looking forward to the "luxury" of sleeping alone.
Later, John James speculated that Sunshine's posing and dramatic behaviour may have worked against her. He explained: "They might have just seen her as someone who was trying to be something that she's not. There's a girl, she's gonna be a doctor, and she's prancing round with all this sparkly shit, pulling poses like Lady GaGa when no one's looking." Nathan agreed, saying: "They would've just seen her as another 'up-her-own-arse girl', wouldn't they."
As John James and Nathan continued to discuss Sunshine's "attention-seeking" behaviour, Steve commented: "Well, she can go back to being Yvette now can't she, back to her normal life." David responded: "I bet she doesn't, I bet she stays as Sunshine."
During a conversation in the kitchen, Caoimhe and Shabby agreed that they "felt sorry" for Sunshine, with Caoimhe saying: "She's not a bad person. She just tries too hard to be cool, and it's never going to happen."
