Explaining that he's been getting a hard time for the way he reacted to both Caoimhe's departure and Keeley's injury, he said: "I am sad in a way that Caoimhe's gone, but we weren't close... and I'm worried about Keeley's ankle... but they're not like my friends in the outside world. Mario and Andrew are acting like there's something emotionally wrong with me."
The Katie Price lookalike was quick to reassure him that his worries were unnecessary, saying: "There's nothing at all emotionally wrong with you whatsoever, just because you weren't one of the people surrounding the bed when Keeley sprained her ankle. It wasn't a death!"
Upset, Ben spoke of his loyalty to his friends in the outside world, and said that he can't possibly have forged such close bonds with certain people in the house.
"As fond as I am of people I have three proper friends here – you're one of them, then Dave and possibly Mario," he told her. "They're not my close friends... in the outside world I would beg, borrow, steal for my friends because I love them, but I can't love someone I've known for five minutes. They make me feel like I'm cold or something."
However, Corin dismissed his concerns, telling him to "hold his head up high and carry on". "You're not a bad person and that's what it boils down to. So stop it right now," she said. "I'm sick of this house and people dragging other people down. Don't let anyone drag you down Ben."
She added: "No way on earth are you a cold person... Everyone loves you in here. Just go out there and keep doing what you're doing. It annoys me the fact that you could think in your mind that you're an uncaring person... I don't want to hear you even doubting it. You've got to rise above it. If anyone can do that it's you."
