Three new housemates have entered the Big Brother house.

At the end of tonight's live show, the group were shown VTs of six potential new housemates - JJ, Jo, Joel, Laura, Megan and Sam.

After watching the potential newbies sell themselves on screen, the housemates were given one minute in which to decide which three they wanted to join them in the house.

John James stood up and led the discussion, as the housemates voted for the three they each wanted.

The contestants they chose to join them in the house and become fully-fledged housemates were JJ, Jo and Laura.

However, Josie appeared upset when John James indicated that the housemates wanted 20-year-old Laura to enter. "What was I supposed to do?" said John James. "I had to go with the majority."

Outside, Davina stood with the chosen three laughing. "I'm sorry, I'm just laughing because Josie is already upset about Laura," she said. "It’s not boding well, Laura."

As they entered the compound, the rest of the housemates got up to greet them at the door.

Jo, 41, is a self-confessed cougar and said that she’ll inject sexiness and glamour into the house. She added that her favourite housemate is John James because 'he's a bit of a looker'.

JJ, 23, claimed that he would nominate Rachel because her accent is 'really grinding his teeth at the moment'. He praised John James and explained that he thinks being in the house and making new friends will be good for him.

Laura believes that she will liven the house up with her bubbly, gregarious personality. Her favourite housemate is Corin because she thinks she's herself.
