Ben evicted!

Ben has become the sixth person to be evicted from the Big Brother house after receiving more votes from the public than fellow nominee John James.

After revealing earlier tonight that Andrew and David had been granted safety, Davina spoke to the house five minutes later to announce that the 30-year-old writer and broadcaster had been given the boot.

As he hugged his friends goodbye, Ben thanked them all for the experience and left the house to Shirley Bassey's 'Diamonds Are Forever' and a mainly positive reaction from the gathered crowd.

Sitting down for his interview with Davina, Ben said that he had been looking forward to meeting the iconic host and revealed his relief at being able to return to the outside world as he had been missing his friends.

Davina later confirmed that Ben had received 52% of the four-way vote.
