John James: 'Josie is the most popular'

John James has told Josie that he believes she is the most popular housemate after her reception on launch night.

Speaking in the bathroom, the Australian surprised Josie by telling her how positive her crowd reaction had been compared to the other housemates.

"You got the best entrance, you got the biggest applause - everyone was cheering you," John James began. "You were hyped up from the very beginning. Davina was talking you up massively from the very beginning, she was like 'She's gonna be great'.

"You've got to remember there wasn’t many people who were cheered - you were cheered, Steve was cheered, Ben was booed, everyone else was half and half."

John James recounted that although he was also mainly cheered on his entrance he knew early on that he will be booed on the way out.

"I bet they thought I was going to be a lot funner than what I am, old misery guts," Josie added.

However John James argued that no housemates were particularly fun in the house - before noting how much Josie will affect his crowd reaction.

"I thought I'd be one of those people who'd fly under the radar but now I see how interested the new people are it'll take up my entire interview time really... moment I get out it'll be, 'Josie, Josie, Josie'. They’ll be banging it out," he said.

The Australian also told Josie that he thinks Sam has targetted her since his arrival because she is the most popular with the public and he will get more airtime.

"He's just copping it out 'cause he's more comfortable with you, when he's comfortable with everyone he'll be copping it out left, right and centre," he added.
