John James "can't talk" to Josie

John James and Josie have argued this evening, after Josie apparently became upset about John James's ambiguous feelings towards her.

During a conversation at the settee, John James revealed that he had wanted to leave the house after Josie's initial revelation that she had feelings for him.

The pair began to discuss Josie's distress, and she revealed that ex-housemate Laura had told her about a Diary Room conversation that the Australian had, where he denied he had any interest in the Bristolian other than friendship. John James became angry and declared: "I can't talk to you.

"I didn't say that in the Diary Room. I only said what I'd already said to your face. But you are a very difficult person to talk to. You're more worried about being embarrassed and looking a fool than you are about our situation."

Josie replied that she did not want to discuss her feelings, saying: "You've got completely the wrong end of the stick. You would feel embarrassed if you knew." John James continued to push the situation.

"Why won't you say why you really feel about the situation?" he asked. Josie replied, wearily: "John, I'm not angry." He continued: "But you were embarrassed?" Josie admitted that she was, but asked: "John, why are you going on about it?

"I don't keep getting upset. I got angry for a split-second because you said you'd asked to leave three times." The 24-year-old retorted: "I had no-one else to talk to! You know that you're not the best person to talk to about anything serious." Josie said: "I know, because it's boring when you're serious all the time."

Challenging John James's questions, Josie asked: "What were you trying to say [before you went down the fire exit]? You were quite happy to know how I felt, but you wouldn't say how you felt." Hesitantly, John James evasively replied: "Yeah, because you brought it up in the hut [with other housemates], whereas when they asked me I panned it off in two seconds. It's not anyone else's business but mine and yours."

The pair continued to discuss the situation, with Sam attempting to mediate and being told to "rack off" by John James. Later in the evening they had resolved their differences and, after briefly joking about sleeping in separate beds, climbed under the duvet together.
