Mario and Corin have been pondering the group's different perceptions of fun.

While the rest of the boys played with improvised water balloons in the garden, the ex-mole contemplated whether his reluctance to join in signalled that he had become boring.

"I'm not really that much fun at all, I'm just making up in my mind," he proposed. "I suppose everyone's ideas of fun is different in this place."

Turning to Corin, he said: "I could quite easily spend all day long in the National Art Gallery, eight, nine hours looking at paintings, but I don't think that would be fun for you, whereas you could do eight or nine hours of shopping."

Corin agreed and declared that she gets great enjoyment from visiting water parks and painting her nails.

"I could sit and draw or paint all day and never be bored," Mario agreed. "I think it's because a lot of the guys in here are very much into sports-related games and I'm not really into sports.

"I don't get as much excitement or enthusiasm. I never want to play catch with a ball again in my life. [I was] secretly happy when Big Brother took them off us. I was thinking, 'Thank God, no more catch'."

He concluded: "I need to use my imagination to get enthusiastic about something."
