After being played a video of his best bits, JJ told Davina that he had an amazing experience during his time in the house.
"In four short weeks there are so many things I did and I'm so pleased to have been there," JJ told her.
After agreeing with Davina that he had been the 'dark horse' of the final due to his late entry into the series, he said that he knew it was going to be hard to stay until the end.
"I'm just really pleased that some people saw something in me and they wanted me to stay in," JJ explained as Davina clarified that she thinks it had been an army of female fans that had voted for him.
Davina showed JJ a video of his so-called 'bromance' with John James, and the two blew each other a kiss in jest as John James sat watching the interview.
"I thought he was the kind of guy I would get on with and we struck an immediate bond," JJ said of their friendship.
When Davina said that she thought JJ had stood by John James almost blindly at times during a number of arguments, JJ simply explained that although he hadn't agreed with all of John James's views, he had wanted to stick by his friend.
JJ laughed as Davina then asked about his relationship with Corin, but he confirmed that nothing had happened between the pair.
"It was definitely just a tickle," he said as Davina bought up a certain late-night encounter. "Corin's a lovely girl and I think we definitely will be friends."
Rounding off his interview, JJ said that he was rooting for Josie and that it would be a travesty if she didn't win.
