The reality TV show is due to air on Channel 5 for the first time this year. A celebrity edition of the series will air first, followed by a longer regular version, with a rumoured mid-August start date.
Bass, who appeared in the fifth regular series on Channel 4 as well as last year's Ultimate Big Brother, tweeted that she had filmed a new advert promoting the show.
"Off to film the new advert for Big Brother," she wrote, before later adding: "Day one of the Big Brother advert was amazing… you are all going to love the final result!"
Bass was the fourth housemate to be evicted from the Ultimate Big Brother house last year.
Steve Strange, Jedward, Kerry Katona and Rachel Stevens have all been linked to this year's Celebrity Big Brother.
