The Channel 5 series' official Twitter account confirmed that Mark left the house at 10:49am this morning. The 28-year-old revealed his intentions to quit yesterday, telling housemates that he felt "trapped".
"** BREAKING NEWS** Mark leaves the Big Brother House," a message on the BBUK Twitter feed announced.
Mark yesterday told the group: "I just don't want to be filmed here anymore. There's nothing any of you lot can do because I don't want any fuss. I've got massive cabin fever in here now, I don't like being trapped. I didn't realise how much I'd feel trapped."
Reaffirming his decision this morning, the sales assistant ignored attempts to convince him to change his mind.
"I've thought about it too much not to make the right decision... I think I've made the right one. I am so ready to go," he declared. "I just can't wait to go to bed and not be filmed. It's so weird, but that's what I'm looking forward to... There's no break in here."
During his stay in the house, the self-proclaimed "modern-day Jester" was made favourite to win by bookies William Hill.
Big Brother continues tonight at 10pm on Channel 5.
