Big Brother housemates today failed their 'Stranded' shopping task.

Split into two groups, The Rescuers (Louise Cliffe, Anton Murphy, Jay Mckray and Tom O'Connell) were challenged to save The Stranded (Aaron Allard-Morgan, Harry Blake, Jem Palmer, Faye Palmer,Aden Theobald and Alex Rose), who were locked in a special room.

After Louise, Tom and Anton's success, the rules of the task were broken when the rest of the Stranded housemates left their task room at the same time as Jay saved Faye.

Gathering contestants on the sofa earlier, Big Brother announced that they had missed out on a luxury shopping prize, and would have to settle for an economy budget of £100.

Discussing the task later on, Anton pinned the task's failure solely upon Aaron, who left the room due to his "poorly knee".

Then Jay cut in: "The food is the factor. That is the be-all and end-all of everything. Food is life," but Harry immediately retorted: "We've got pasta, we've got lentils, we've got rice, we've got cereal."

Meanwhile, Faye shrugged off the low food budget, saying: "People get ratty over food, shows their true colours," before her sister Jem added: "People need to relax when it comes to food."
