It was announced following Faye Palmer's eviction on Friday (November 4) that the original £100,000 prize fund would be split in two, with £50,000 going to the eventual winner and the remaining half being shared amongst the five finalists.
However, Big Brother informed the group that they could not split the £50,000 evenly, but instead must allocate to each other six varying amounts - £30,000, £15,000, £4,000, £990 and £10.
When Big Brother asked for a decision yesterday, the housemates agreed that it would be fairest to write each of their names on a piece of paper and hold a draw for the cash.
Alex was the lucky housemate pulled out first and therefore won the £30,000 top prize. Jay Mckray came next with £15,000, Louise Cliffe won £4,000, Aaron Allard-Morgan got £990 and Tom O'Connell was awarded the booby prize of £10.
The housemate with the fewest viewer votes will be eliminated in a shock eviction on Thursday (November 10). The winner of Big Brother 2011 will be announced by Brian Dowling the following day (November 11).
