Emma Willis initially tricked the housemates into believing that the eviction was imminent, before announcing that it would take place live tonight.
Big Brother's special live eviction show airs tonight from 9pm on Channel 5.
McDonalds worker Alex remains the bookies' favourite to win the reality show.
