Big Brother: Conor wins task by eating 100-year-old duck egg

By
Conor McIntyre won an eating task set for the Big Brother housemates today, after being required to eat a 100-year-old duck egg dipped in chocolate.

The housemates were set a task entitled 'Confusing Cuisine', where they were challenged to eat a selection of foods with deceptively misleading appearances.

Caroline Wharram, who was exempt from proceedings, acted as waitress for a menu where the appetising-looking items proved to be the most unpalatable for the housemates, and vice versa.

The food included dog bicuits that turned out to be homemade cookies, a scotch egg filled with an anchovy paste known as gentleman's relish, a jar of mustard that actually contained vanilla custard and the aforementioned chocolate-covered 100-year-old duck egg.

All of the housemates completed the task to Big Brother's satisfaction with the exception of Deana Uppal, who failed to finish the 'sweaty cake', made with two layers of a popular processed tinned ham product filled with a layer of hot sauce. As a result, Deana will not be eligible for the 'special prize'.

After being given a minute by Big Brother to decide, the housemates nominated Conor as the winner, meaning that he gets sole control over the shopping list this week.

The task was the first one issued to the housemates since the eviction of ex-teacher turned porn star Benedict Garrett on Friday.
