Big Brother's Melons of Mass Destruction task - pictures

Big Brother challenged the housemates to a Melons of Mass Destruction challenge yesterday, which will be shown in tonight's (July 24) highlights show.

The housemates were split into boys and girls teams and challenged to make their respective watermelons explode.

Both teams were allowed to use rubber bands and the boys' systematic and calm approach to the task ultimately proved triumphant.

The boys were rewarded for their victory with late night drinks and melon slices.

Today, the housemates have begun a 48-hour Party Animals shopping task.
