Sex on TV is a first

You learn a lot by how quickly people claim things in the house. Darren, for instance, is a homely man who is the first to check out the fridge, the first to bake bread, and the first to enjoy a quiet cigarette on the patio. Nichola and Caroline seek comfort in the bedroom, claiming the first beds.
And nicknames are a sign of how people are seen by others. Only one exists so far, and it's for Sada. Mel coined the name 'Lala' for our resident Bohemian and it has stuck like glue in the editorial office. Lala it is.

The diary room was christened, too, as Lala went to ask Big Brother if the heating can be turned up. Apparently the Big Brother house, which is covered in a kind of silver fabric, could be letting more heat out than it's keeping in. She rings the doorbell and is let into the room that lets the occupants talk to Big Brother.
"We're all a little bit chilly," she demurs. "Maybe we could have a little bit of warmth. And Mel wants her E45 cream." Big Brother, as usual, doesn't answer straightaway. Maybe they'll get it, maybe they'll have to work for it.
The biggest first goes to Craig, though. Not for the fact that he claims to have eaten a dog in China, but for the first confession of a sexual secret. Craig had sex on telly. Literally. Presumably not the same one he urinated behind at a friend's wedding. Ah, the secrets, the shame.
Big Brother is a Bazal production for Channel 4.
