Champagne dinner

Published Thursday, Jun 28 2001, 03:17 BST | By Neil Wilkes
The group were thrilled when six bottles of champagne and boxes of handmade chocolates arrived mysteriously in the storeroom - courtesy of Big Brother.

Discovering Elizabeth's birthday treats bathing in a tub of ice, the group continued their evening of pampering while sipping champagne and nibbling on truffles.

Remembering the exhibition Helen had made of herself at Brian's birthday party after drinking too much champagne, Elizabeth announced a warning.

"We're going to pace ourselves. Can we all share and no one is to gobble," she said sensibly.

Despite her warning, Brian couldn't resist temptation and plunged through the first box layer of chocolates before attacking the second.

"You have spots and I don't!" Helen retorted at the greedy Irishman who joked that she was piling on the calories.

In all the excitement, the housemates had forgotten to eat dinner. Amma reminded them about the leftover mashed potato in the fridge.

"We could make chocolate mash," Bubble suggested, but Josh had other ideas.

"I'm not going to eat - just drink and eat chocolates."

As the housemates continue to guzzle alcohol on empty stomachs it's only a matter of time before all inhibitions are once again lost.

Big Brother 2 is a Bazal production for Channel 4.
