Big Brother 2013 to have nightly live feed

By
Big Brother's live feed will return on a nightly basis for this summer's series, Channel 5 have confirmed.

Two hours of live footage from the house will air on 5* from 7pm to 9pm when the 14th edition of the long-running reality show launches.

The move means that this year's Big Brother will be the first to feature a regular live feed since the show began on Channel 5.

The broadcaster axed the 24-hour live feed - which was a staple of Big Brother's time on Channel 4 - when it acquired the show in 2011, saying at the time: "The aim is to reflect the habits of our audience today and we believe that prioritising social media is the way to get people involved in the show."

However, trial runs of live feed after Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother eviction episodes in 2012 proved to be a success.

Channel 5 has also announced the launch of a new spinoff show Big Brother's Bit on the Psych, in which a panel of experts and psychologists analyse the behaviour of the housemates over the past seven days.

X Factor and Celebrity Big Brother star Rylan Clark has already been confirmed to join Emma Willis, who is also the new host of the main show, on Big Brother's Bit on the Side.
