May 23 start date confirmed
Published Wednesday, May 7 2003, 13:01 BST | By Neil Wilkes
The May 23 start date for Big Brother 4 has been officially confirmed to DS:BB this afternoon.
Whilst on the whole unsurprising news, it finally lays rest to the argument over whether May 30 could actually be the date the series kicks off.
Davina McCall will front the live launch show beginning at 8.30pm, when the twelve housemates enter their new home for the first time. After a break for Friends and V Graham Norton, Davina will be back with more coverage of the first night for an hour from 10.45pm.
E4's live coverage will fill in the gaps on launch night -- firstly from 9.30pm through to 10.45pm, then on into the night from 11.50pm.
Channel 4 viewers will be able to see 90 minutes of live streaming from the house at 12.25am.
The action will begin two weeks earlier on E4, with back-to-back showings of the audition videos. Big Brother Audition Tapes begins at 6am on Monday May 11 and will run each day thereafter between 2am and 2pm in the run-up to the launch.
