Where Are They Now?

Ten thousand people applied to take part in the fourth instalment of Britain's best known reality game show, but while their reasons for doing will may remain undisclosed, it's likely that the majority sent off their entry forms in search of one thing: fame and fortune.

The previous three years have shown that in the fast-track world of celebrity status, Big Brother is the fastest track of all, with many of its housemates capitalising on their weeks of exposure to millions of viewers by remaining in the public eye via personal appearances, TV spots, magazine shoots, adverts and even a business venture or two.

Nothing lasts forever in the disposable world of Big Brother celebrity, however, and for some of the original housemates in particular, a return to the day job and a life of anonymity has followed rather more swiftly than they had envisaged.

So as another twelve members of the British public prepare to sacrifice their normal lives in the name of entertainment, what has become of the thirty-six who have gone before them? With thanks to Eejay, Emzi and Closer Magazine, DS:BB has found out...

BIG BROTHER 1

	CRAIG PHILLIPS - Winner Craig now puts his building skills to good use on television DIY shows including Trading Up and Housecall for BBC One and Discovery Home and Leisure's Boyz In The Wood. He also appeared as Buttons in Cinderella at Liverpool's Royal Court Theatre over the Christmas season and is set to report on Big Brother 4 for TV Times magazine.
	ANNA NOLAN - 2nd Anna has also moved into television, and is set to front a second series of BBC Three's Closure with Davina McCall while currently hosting a new run of her Ask Anna agony aunt show for Irish television network RTE. Anna also makes public appearances for gay rights group Stonewall.
	DARREN RAMSAY - 3rd Darren has returned to a life without fame following one last prominent public appearance as a contestant on the reality TV stars' edition of The Weakest Link.
	MELANIE HILL - Evicted Week 8 Melanie hosts E4's reality game show Chained - which has returned for a second series - and also writes lifestyle and travel features for magazines.
	CLAIRE STRUTTON - Evicted Week 7 Claire runs her mother's WorldwideEstates.com property website with her partner and fellow Big Brother 1 contestant Tom McDermott, and the pair - together with eighteen-month-old son Pierce - have recently left their Buckinghamshire flat to live in southern Spain; Claire also made a brief appearance on Channel 4's The Salon reality hairdressing show.
	TOM McDERMOTT - Evicted Week 6 Aside from running WorldwideEstates.com as mentioned above, Tom's last prominent appearance came as a guest on RTE cookery show Rankin Celebrity Challenge earlier this month.
	NICHOLA HOLT - Evicted Week 5 Nichola is now a textile designer for a company named Fashion Futures, although she was featured in the feminist documentary series Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and is hoping to make another dance album - on the back of the lowly No.72 position achieved by her only single release over two years ago.
	NICK BATEMAN - Evicted by Disqualification Week 5 Following countless appearances as the 'bad guy' in European TV commercials and pantomimes - and a role in the touring production of The Rocky Horror Show - Nick has turned to the written word and is currently penning his first novel.
	CAROLINE O'SHEA - Evicted Week 4 Caroline has returned to her old job of selling marital aids in her native Birmingham, alongside occasional singing spots in clubs.
	ANDY DAVIDSON - Evicted Week 3 Andrew has returned to a life of "normality" in South London after returning from a spell as a go-kart mechanic in Australia.
	SADA WALKINGTON - Evicted Week 2 Now keeping an extremely low profile, Sada is believed to be waitressing somewhere in London.

BIG BROTHER 2

	BRIAN DOWLING - Winner Brian has forged a successful TV career having hosted CITV Saturday morning show SM:tv Live since January last year; his Brian's Boyfriends show is also set to air on ITV1 from May 27th.
	HELEN ADAMS - 2nd Still on the personal appearance circuit and last prominently seen on Channel 4's wacky betting show Banzai, Helen is planning to return to her hairdressing roots by opening her own salon with her partner and Big Brother 2 beau Paul Clarke.
	DEAN O'LOUGHLIN - 3rd Dean has gone into business with fellow Big Brother 2 housemate Stuart Hosking to sell their innovative Tea Bag Bin, which has already sold 11,000 and received 40,000 orders despite being ignored by the Celebrity Big Brother 2 housemates. The pair are also planning to set up a TV production company together.
	ELIZABETH WOODCOCK - Evicted Week 9 Elizabeth is now an occasional writer and journalist, and can often be found giving talks in public on her time in the house.. She has also embarked on a number of long-distance cycle challenges to raise funds for cancer charities, the next of which will be a motorbiking trip around eastern Europe this summer.
	PAUL CLARKE - Evicted Week 8 Aside from assisting with Helen's hairdressing salon venture, Paul has returned to his old profession of designing cars.
	JOSH RAFTER - Evicted Week 7 Josh runs his own gay property company Outlet, and is planning to open his own restaurant and coffee shop. He's also written a book detailing his personal training techniques, does masses of charity work and runs his own personal website.
	AMMA ANTWI-AGYEI - Evicted Week 6 Amma is considering returning to college after her spell playing Yasmin Shawcross on Sky One's football soap Dream Team lasted only one series.
	BUBBLE (PAUL FERGUSON) - Evicted Week 5 Following the rejection of his proposed World Cup travelogue by ITV last summer, Bubble continues to make plenty of public appearances alongside presenting spells on gay radio station The Scene and the Chelsea TV digital channel.
	NARINDER KAUR - Evicted Week 4 Narinder is a regular face on London's celebrity premiere and party circuit, having made recent appearances at The Sun's Bizarre column relaunch party and the premiere of S Club's Seeing Double movie; she also presents the Undercover Lovers reality show for Trouble TV and has recently auditioned for a role in the West End musical Bombay Nights.
	STUART HOSKING - Evicted Week 3 As mentioned above, Stuart is involved with the Tea Bag Bin business venture in partnership with Dean.
	PENNY ELLIS - Evicted Week 2 After failing to land roles in hit BBC comedy show The Office and renowned play The Vagina Monologues by not having an agent, Penny has returned to teaching at a Hastings school and has also penned a collection of tales based on her time in London, which is attracting interest from two publishing companies.

BIG BROTHER 3

	KATE LAWLER - Winner Kate can now be seen hosting Channel 4 breakfast show RI:SE alongside Iain Lee every weekday morning after a spell presenting Living TV's Celebrity Extra; she also presents a Sunday afternoon show with Andi Peters on Capital FM, has recently appeared in a Loaded magazine feature and is set to report on Big Brother 4 for OK magazine.
	JONNY REGAN - 2nd Jonny now performs for a living - perhaps appropriately - with a role in the touring production of Shane Richie's Boogie Nights following a pantomime role in Newcastle last Christmas; he has also been offered another panto and is in the process of narrating a documentary entitled Westenders.
	ALEX SIBLEY - 3rd Alex has moved into the world of TV with presenting spots on Nickelodeon phone-in show Off The Hook and ITV1's Wish You Were Here; he has also starred in advertising campaigns for Kellogg's and Matalan.
	JADE GOODY - 4th Jade continues to grace our screens almost a year after Big Brother 3, having made appearances in Celebrity Driving School, her own What Jade Did Next documentary and BBC One's Tabloid Tales as recently as last week; she's also featured in a miscellany of photo shoots, released her own hit fitness video and is set to feature in Celebrity Wife Swap and a C4 childbirth documentary as she awaits the birth of her child to TV presenter boyfriend Jeff Brazier.
	TIM CULLEY - Evicted Week 8 Despite appearing in magazine adverts for laser eye surgery, Tim was forced to find employment with an investment bank in South Africa after potential London employers couldn't take his applications seriously due to his Big Brother 3 exploits.
	PJ ELLIS - Evicted Week 7 PJ is set to become a presenter on Birmingham's BRMB Radio after DJing with Big Brother 3 housemate Spencer Smith at last year's V2002 festival and fronting a guest slot at Cambridge's Star FM.
	ADELE ROBERTS - Evicted Week 6 Adele continues to DJ in her local area with a slot on local station Rock FM, after her foray into TV as the host of Yorkshire Television's youth show The Big Story ended within five episodes.
	SOPHIE PRITCHARD - Evicted Week 5 Sophie will soon be jetting off to New York for Sky TV having enjoyed minor presenting roles on Channel 4's RI:SE and Haunted Hallowe'en Live for ITV2; she's also due to marry Big Brother 3 boyfriend Lee Davey in the summer, with OK! magazine showing interest in snapping up the picture rights.
	SPENCER SMITH - Evicted Week 4 Now living in Los Angeles and dating Sasha Alexander from Dawson's Creek, Spencer has just finished making a TV series about his biggest passion: fishing.
	LEE DAVEY - Evicted Week 3 Impending wedding aside, Lee has set up a fitness training company and released his own workout video - called Lee's Wicked Workout - after a spell with strip group The Dreamboys.
	SANDY CUMMINGS - Walked Week 3 Sandy has resumed his role as a personal shopper in Selfridges under the assumed name of Sandy Alexander, to avoid any Big Brother 3-related recognition.
	ALISON HAMMOND - Evicted Week 2 Alison has tried her hand at TV presenting with guest reporting spots on ITV1's This Morning - most recently related to reality show I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here - and also appeared in pantomime in Wales last year.
	LYNNE MONCRIEF - Evicted Week 1 Now back in her native Scotland, Lynne is studying the History of Art at Dundee University.
	SUNITA SHARMA - Walked Week 1 Sunita is now a trainee barrister at the law firm she worked at pre-Big Brother 3.
