'The Sun' offers BB 'sex reward'
Published Tuesday, May 20 2003, 12:38 BST | By Jason Crawley
The Sun newspaper has offered a £50,000 reward to the first housemates who have sex during their stay the Big Brother 4 house.
The reward, which will come into effect for the first instance of straight sex only, will be split between both housemates if the majority of voters in a Sun phone poll agree that the act is genuine and both parties tell their story to the newspaper itself.
The offer follows sexual activity having been seen in many foreign versions of the Big Brother, including France, Australia, Sweden, Italy, Portugal, Norway - which saw two contestants having sex six times in a single day - and the first ever Big Brother series in the Netherlands.
The three UK series of Big Brother have not yet produced any sexual activity within the house, despite Jade's efforts with PJ last year and Helen and Paul's antics in the 'den' during Big Brother 2.
