In Full: Michelle and Stuart's argument
Published Monday, Jul 19 2004, 22:18 BST | By Neil Wilkes

Two hours after the disagreement, Stuart joined Michelle in the bedroom with a view to smoothing things over. DS:BB recaps their conversation in full.
S: "Why are you angry with me?"
M: "I'm not telling you, and you know why."
S: "I don't understand."
M: "Well tough. If you don't understand that's fine."
S: "Because I wouldn't be the groom?"
M: "Yeah."
S: "It feels like.."
M: "But it's not made to feel like that, it's just a game. Has Shell chickened out because she thinks Scott is going to be watching and thinking 'Ooh, why is Shell being a bride and marrying Victor?' Do you think that's going to happen? It's not a reflection on reality."
S: "But just, just.. also.. can you like, can you sort of just empathise with the fact that, although people can blatantly see that it is just a game and stuff, I still feel that it's.."
M: "Stu, basically, you've got it your way because we're not doing it."
S: ".. and erm.."
M: "OK?"
S: "..erm, because of the way I feel, it's just a lot.. it would be very hard for me to do."
M: "Alright then, so we're not doing it - are we not?"
S: "I just don't understand how you can be angry when.."
M: "Because I wanted to do it, so therefore I can be angry just like you're not doing it, therefore you can be happy. Do you know what I mean?"
S: "But it's like..."
M: "Stu, I wanted to do it!"
S: "But like, like.. the way.. it's just like.. but that seemed sort of really unfair that.."
M: "But no it's not, because we're not doing it! So it's not unfair because you've got what you wanted. So it's not unfair."
S: "But I was going to.. You're angry and I would have had time to do something that I would have found very difficult to do whereas for you, all you'd have to do is just not get the best sort of role in the game.."
M: "..which we've done.."
S: ".. so because of that, it just feels like it's sort of unfair for you to be angry with me."
M: "But I am angry. Well I'm not angry, I'm just upset."
S: "That I wouldn't..?"
M: "Uh-huh."
S: "But do you not see the trade-off? It's completely misbalanced."
M: "(sigh) Stu, you've got it your way, we're not doing that. Okay? So you've got it your way. Okay? So it's not unfair."
S: "(pauses) The difference between what you're asking me to do and what I was asking you to do is massive."
M: "Right, okay, so we've done it your way. Right?"
S: "I just feel like you're kind of being quite unfair to me because.."
M: "Right well fine, feel like that."
S: "(laughs) Okay."
(Stu gets up and leaves the room but re-enters a second later)
S: "It just would have been difficult for me to have done, like.. it's just, the event was pushing on emotions that don't have to be pushed under this environment. Whereas for you, it's only just wearing a white dress or whatever."
(Michelle doesn't reply; Stuart leaves the room for good)
