This year's show will last for a total of eleven weeks, The Sun claimed on Saturday.
The duration is one week longer than series 5 in 2004, which itself was one week more than the prior nine-week standard.
With a start date confirmed for Friday, May 27, the news means that series six will now finish on Friday, August 12.
