BB6 Rumours Roundup: Brotherly love?
Published Saturday, May 7 2005, 23:54 BST | By Neil Wilkes
It's that time of year again: rumours are in abundance as just weeks remain until the new series of BB gets underway.
DS:BB presents a full roundup of the latest speculation on Saturday, May 7 (with 20 days to go).
Sibling setup?
An anonymous reader leaves the following message in the DS:BB inbox: "Brother sister duo from cardiff are in the final line up to enter the Big Brother 6 house. Reece 21 from cardiff sister Hannah 23 who lives in liverpool, both attended the cardiff auditions and made it to the finals.
"Reece is a lifegaurd in Cardiff and Hannah is a police officer in Liverpool.
"Both attened the audition together and both said that if they were to go in the house they will not let the others know they are brother and sister, instead use it to their advantage to win.
"71 days, 14 housemates, £1000,000"
The DS:BB Verdict: An interesting idea, but extremely unlikely to be spot on. At this time of year we normally hear of many potential housemates, but nothing fairly accurate normally emerges until the few days before the show begins.
BBLB heading for 5.30pm?
According to several posters on the forums, BBLB looks set to move to a regular 5.30pm, weeknight slot on Channel 4 this year.
Others speculate that the show will now be returning to its original home, E4, now that it is launching on Freeview.
The DS:BB Verdict: A good chance. Channel 4 have told DS:BB that BBLB will still be on Channel 4 this year - although that doesn't necessarily exclude the possibility of a first-run showing on E4, followed by a late night repeat on C4. The 5.30pm scenario is the most likely, however, as any move to E4 would still conflict with the 6pm shows on Channel 4 and E4's first-run Hollyoaks at 7pm. The other possibility is a late night slot at around 11.15pm. Exact scheduling will be confirmed later this week.
