Channel 4 have apparently confirmed that thirteen housemates will be entering the BB house this year.
However, according to the Manchester Evening News, that news will amount to an unlucky spell for one of the residents.
"Last year Big Brother was evil," said BB exec producer Sharon Powers. "It will continue to be evil this year. But one of the big things that will be interesting this year is that there are going to be 13 housemates.
"And boy you don't want to be that 13th housemate. They are going to have the unluckiest time of their lives. The unluckiest housemate will enter on launch night and viewers will find out which one of the housemates they are in the first week."
The unlucky housemate will not be the thirteenth person to enter the house; instead he or she will be selected at some point during week one, possibly during a live show on Saturday night.
The thirteen-strong lineup will consititute the largest ever initial group to date.
