Despite not showing up to see her off, Eugene spoke to Makosi about Orlaith's departure this afternoon.
"How are you about Orlaith leaving?" he asked. "'Cos in my mind she disappeared quite suddenly."
"I kind of miss her," Makosi replied. "I didn't expect her to leave."
"Last night when she didn't look upset about being evicted I thought she wanted to stay," explained Eugene, referring to her tete-a-tete with Makosi in the living area.
"She had it arranged that she would leave if she wasn't evicted," Makosi confirmed.
Eugene added that he "felt sorry" for Orlaith because she was so close to getting to the final. "But well done for her," he added, "because obviously she would have been under quite a lot of stress otherwise. Good look to her, I hope everything goes well on the outside."
Makosi agreed, admitting: "It's not her leaving that disappointed me, but it's the whole giving up."
