Anthony "spits the dummy" over quiz failure
Published Sunday, Jul 31 2005, 17:09 BST | By Neil Wilkes
With numbers dwindling ever faster, the remaining five housemates embarked upon another quiz last night to occupy their time.
Once again Derek adopted the role of the stern quizmaster, with Eugene featuring as the quizmaster's assistant.
Makosi got off to an early lead, even stumping the quizmaster at one point with the correct spelling of the word 'carbohydrate'.
Anthony, on the other hand, flopped miserably. In all, he only answered two questions correctly - one involving multiple choice and the other asking him to spell 'adidas'.
His most notable failures included naming Craig's dog ('Shadow') and one asking for a square root of 100, for which he guessed 50 and 25.
As the quiz went on and his performance failed to improve, Anthony decided to quit and go for a swim by himself. "What's the point in going on?" he asked. "I can't be arsed, it's too intense."
