The 20-year-old, who is said to have signed a "six-figure deal" with CBM Records, is already hard at work writing her own material.
"I would describe my style as R and B with a more commercial slant - along the lines of Destiny's Child and Javine," she declared. "I want to get a chart hit and be in the Top 10. I want to sing on Top Of The Pops - that has always been a dream of mine."
Producer Charles Bailey approached Vanessa after she left the house in week seven, with the prospect of a career in the music business coming as a surprise even to her.
"He saw me dancing and performing on Big Brother so he knew I had the moves, but he didn't know if I could sing," Vanessa explained. "He asked me to come down to his studio and sing a few songs. I was amazed when he said I was good. I never knew I could sing. Now I realise I actually have a good voice. I am so grateful I have been given a chance to do this."
