In the series, which airs from October, male celebs train for a faceoff against a team of football legends, including Paul Gascoigne.
The BB winner was one of a number of stars trying out for the squad, which will be managed by Graham Taylor.
Asked how he would feel to be playing at St James' Park, he replied: "Oh, that would be emotional. Words can't describe how I would feel about it. In front of Geordies, against Gazza, it would be unbelievable."
Anthony's progress will be charted in The Match: Celebrity Trials, airing Sunday, September 25 at 7pm on Sky One.
