Pete causes chaos for Jonathan Ross team
Published Saturday, Sep 9 2006, 14:30 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly
Pete and Nikki's appearance on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross caused chaos for show producers.
Editors worked for hours to salvage the interview after Tourette's sufferer Pete cursed constantly while Nikki was chatting.
"It was a close call - the show wasn't ready until just before transmission," a source told the Daily Star. "Part of the problem was that Pete was saying 'w**kers' and making odd noises throughout the interview. It was impossible to bleep out all the swear words as that would have drowned out the interview completely.
"Jonathan really earned his money. There had been mutterings about the wisdom of having Pete and Nikki on the show at all. They're a pleasant enough couple - but Pete just can't stop swearing. I think everyone was just relieved the show wasn't going out live."
