BB dog custody battle comes to an end
Published Sunday, Oct 1 2006, 11:44 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly
A custody battle between Melanie Hill and Alex Sibley over their pet dog has come to an end.
The former lovers, who appeared in BB1 and BB3 respectively, both decided that they wanted to keep Staffordshire bull-terrier Poppy after their three-year relationship ended. Sibley had taken the matter to court after Hill allegedly 'dognapped' Poppy and denied him access.
Clerkenwell County Court has ordered joint custody, allowing Alex to see the dog for two of every five weeks.
Alex told the court: "We were like a little pack, myself, Melanie and Poppy."
Melanie insisted: "His interest in Poppy seemed to increase as our relationship soured."
