BB8 producers review selection procedures

Big Brother 8 producers have designed new psychological tests to ensure that all of the contestants can cope with life in the house.
Executives are determined to avoid criticism of their choice of housemates this year following the controversy caused when Big Brother 7's Shahbaz Chaudhry spoke about killing himself in the house. Celebrity Big Brother 5's Jo O'Meara also claimed that she should never have been allowed on to the show earlier this year.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday: "Big Brother 7 faced a lot of criticism and we are still recovering from the racism row and fall-out from Celebrity Big Brother. We want the show to be entertaining but we also need to make sure we have the right mix of people and that they are capable of living in front of the cameras."
A Channel 4 spokesman confirmed: "Housemates' welfare has been and always will be of paramount importance. It is customary that every year we review the processes and care system. As part of this, further improved measures to our rigorous procedures have been put in place."
