Brand to host 'Big Brother' retrospective

Russell Brand is to host a one-off Big Brother special in advance of the launch of the new series.
The comedian will front Big Brother: According To Russell Brand, which promises to take a "surreal, sideways look at Big Brother through the ages".
Brand, who quit as host of spinoff show Big Mouth last month, will purport theories such as Gos from BB4 being the inspiration for the Lionel Ritchie smash 'Hello' and Hi-De-Hi's Su Pollard being the model for the original BB eye.
The special airs on E4 on Friday, May 25 at 11.05pm, the week before the new series begins. It will be preceded by Big Brother: After They Were Housemates, featuring updates on memorable contestants from previous series such as Paul (BB2), Craig (BB6) and Nikki (BB7).
