As Australian Big Brother contestant 'Pauline' enters the Big Brother house for 'Fake Week', DS profiles British actress Thaila Zucchi, who will be attempting to fool the remaining housemates into believing she is really a 26-year-old waitress who has just flown over from Oz.

Swindon native Zucchi, who began her career with pop group allSTARS*, spent two years in the five-piece group, which hit the top 20 four times times between 2001-2002 and also toured with Steps.

She played herself in 23 episodes of children's TV programme Star Street, which took a comedic and child-centric look at the life of the group. However, upon the dissolution of the gruop, Zucchi decided to leave singing behind her and work as a professional actress.

She has appeared in shows as diverse as Star Stories, Love Soup and The IT Crowd. Zucchi is probably best known in recent times for her appearances on prank show Balls Of Steel, on which she plays the 'Bunny Boiler', a character who flirts with men in front of their partners to see how far she can push it.

An accomplished dancer and swimmer, Zucchi's CV also states that she can put on "London RP, Scottish [and] Irish" accents but "has a good ear for all accents", something she will have to prove this week as she tries to maintain an Australian accent during 'Fake Week' in the Big Brother house.
