Gerry unhappy with new haircut

Gerry was less than impressed this afternoon after Nicky gave him a disastrous haircut.

Walking into the bedroom after the accounts executive had sheared his locks in the garden, he announced: "Are you ready for the worst haircut in the history of hairdressing?"

As he showed off his new look to the amused housemates, Charley asked him: "Gerry, what have you done? Are you having a laugh?" while Carole shuddered: "It's just awful...an absolute sight."

"Why did you let someone who don't like you cut your hair?" a bemused Brian wanted to know.

Charley made a brief attempt to see the positive side, telling the art gallery researcher that his haircut made him look younger. But moments later she was less complimentary, commenting: "The back bit is how I cut my dog."

While Gerry tried to keep his spirits up by assuring himself that it would grow back in three days, the South Londoner put forward her own theory about what had gone wrong. "She's [Nicky's] done that on purpose, she took her anger out on him," she declared to the group.

When an unhappy Gerry had left the bedroom, she confessed that she would have loved to cut his hair herself. "I'd have given him a hairdo he wouldn't have forgot in a year," she vowed.

"I think Nicky's achieved that," said Carole, adding: "If she thinks she's done a good job, she needs glasses."
