The 53-year-old was hanging washing in the kitchen as Liam waited his turn in the diary room this afternoon when the conversation turned to the process itself.
After commenting that she found it hard but "we've all got to get on with it, really", she explained: "How I do it every week is, I look at everyone's photos and I think 'can I live with this person?' and also, 'what do they contribute to the household?' and 'what would be gone if they were gone?' That's the fairest way I can think of doing it."
Liam, who said he had been "having a little think about it", agreed that it was a sensible way to go. But he wondered: "I don't know how selfish to be, do you know what I mean?"
"One of the things I look at, as well, is if there's people I'm particularly fond of and other people have upset them, that's like attacking me," Carole added.
