Carole wants to 'grow old disgracefully'

Carole has revealed that she wants to grow old "disgracefully", wearing leggings and Doc Martens until she dies.

While joking around in the bedroom with Amanda and Chanelle this afternoon, she was called upon to give a lesson in changing styles.

"Why is it that people suddenly decide to have a purple rinse and wear floral dresses?" Chanelle wanted to know.

Carole patiently explained that an older woman's skin tone can make younger clothes look inappropriate, but her answer seemed to leave the student wanting more.

"But when are you going to decide to get a purple rinse and wear flowery dresses, Carole?" she probed. Turning to Amanda, she confided that she could not decide what age to take the plunge herself and was wondering when Britney Spears would do it.

"I'd quite like to grow old disgracefully and my hair will probably grow silver..." mused Carole, warming to the subject. "I'll probably end up having a bun until my hair drops off, then I may end up having a wig."

"What, a long, flowing Victoria Beckham extensions-type wig?" asked an excited Chanelle.

"Probably. Or some crazy braids or something," said Carole, as the lesson drew to a close. "I'll probably wear DMs and leggings 'til I die."
