The boys threaten to wage war

A suspicious Ziggy suggested that the girls were up to something, this evening, when he noticed them giving each other knowing glances and coded hand signals.
In an attempt to elicit a confession from them, he threatened to round up the boys for war, telling them: “We’ll go a lot further than you guys can go ‘cos you are all big girls' blouses when it comes down to a couple of things.”
Taking it further, he warned the girls to tread carefully as he would infest their knicker drawers with insects from the garden.
Later, while he was alone with Gerry and Liam, he revealed that the girls were up to something, suggesting that they had been “nicking” their belongings.
However, he instructed the pair not to “let on” that they knew.
