Twins tearful after message from home

The twins were in floods of tears after receiving a message from their mother during tonight's BBTV news bulletin.

Amanda was acting as a newsreader with Chanelle when the item suddenly came up on the autocue.

She only made it as far as "Hi Sammy and Amanda, it's your mum here", before breaking down and leaving Chanelle to take over.

"I'm so proud of you both and I can't wait to see you again," read Chanelle, finishing the emotional message with: "You're keeping us all entertained and we're loving every minute of watching you both."

When the bulletin ended, Sam sobbed in Charley's arms in the garden, before hugging her sister as they wept on each other's shoulders.

"They're really touching, you don't realise 'til you get one," commented Charley, piling in to share in the hug herself.

The twins burst into tears several times during the evening, with a sympathetic Carole urging: "Go on, let it all out."

As they mulled over every nuance of the message with Charley, all three ended up weeping on the sofa, with Charley cradling a tearful twin under each arm.

Carole then walked into the room with toilet roll streaming behind her. "How much do you want?" she joked, telling the twins: "You start at this end and you start at that end."
