The housemates were told that there is a further £100,000 prize fund during tonight's BBTV news bulletin.
Newsreaders Amanda and Chanelle revealed the surprise news to the rest of the group, who were gathered on the sofas watching.
"It has been one month since Carole, Seány and Jonathan decided to give Liam £100,000," read a bewigged Chanelle, continuing: "However, the housemates are unaware that there is a further £100,000 left in the prize fund."
As Carole, Charley and the twins gathered in the garden later, Amanda commented: "That money prize thing! Can you believe that?"
An excited Charley mused: "I wonder who's gonna win it. I'd love to know who's gonna win Big Brother this year."
Carole treated the news of the cash pot with indifference, shrugging: "I don't care really. Liam's the winner anyway, in terms of being a decent bloke... And you know, we're here, we're still here. As far as I'm concerned, [the fund] went and that's that."
But Charley was not to be dismissed. "100 grand, though!" she exclaimed. "There's still a prize!"
