Gerry evicted in guru twist

Gerry is the latest Big Brother housemate to be booted from the house after an eviction night twist involving the gurus.

Carole and Gerry received the most votes for eviction, but in a twist that shocked all housemates bar Gerry, who said he "knew" something would be happening, the gurus were asked to vote for whichever housemate they wanted out of the house.

Amanda, Sam, Tracey and Ziggy all voted for Gerry, who told them he wanted Carole to win the money, prompting her to cry.

"Prove to them I don't want the money," begged Gerry, hugging them all after they voted him out. "I want to go, guys...I knew it would have been a twist. I'm perfectly fine. I got what I wanted from this experience."

After hearing that he would be evicted, all housemates applauded the Grecian, who explained: "I don't mind, I don't mind...you did the right thing all along. In two weeks time I'm going to be outside waiting for you. You all did the right thing...I was ready to go."

Gerry was evicted at four minutes past ten to a mix of boos and cheers from the crowd, though the reaction was mainly positive.
