Reading a set of instructions left in the diary room, Jonty told the group how the series had been a "long old ride" for Big Brother.
He revealed that because of this Big Brother was going to "step back", explaining: "That means that one of you is going to get the chance to fill in for Big Brother."
The group were told they had to decide between themselves which housemate should get the chance to play Big Brother for the day.
Straight away Liam asked: "Does everyone say it's alright if Jonty does it?" Everyone instantly agreed with the 23-year-old tree surgeon and declared that Jonty should be left in charge.
Moments later, Big Brother announced: ""Will Big Jonty please come to the diary room."
As Jonty walked off into the diary room, Sam shouted: "Do some fun stuff for us, set us a task."
After Jonty entered the diary room, Liam seemingly regretted his choice. "We'll have to fill up sauce bottles and talk about Cliff Richard for an hour or we'll fail," he joked.
Ziggy laughed: "They probably gulped as soon as we said Jonty."
Later, Jonty returned to the group to reveal what powers he had as 'Big Jonty' . He told them that all requests must go through him and that they must visit him in his private vestibule if they wish to chat to somebody.
Jonty also revealed that he would have the power to call individuals to come and speak to him at any time by using the fish phone.
